# Vapor Storage Manager

> A desktop utility for Windows, Linux and SteamOS that reclaims disk space taken by
> game launchers, and repairs launcher bookkeeping that stops games launching.

## What it does

Uninstalling a game does not remove everything. Steam and Epic leave shader caches,
Workshop subscriptions, Proton prefixes, mod-manager archives and download scratch
behind, usually in folders named by numeric app id. The app matches those folders to
real game names and removes what is genuinely orphaned.

It also has a Fixes screen for problems that are not about space but about broken
state: manifests for games whose files are gone (the game shows as installed and will
not launch), library folders pointing at drives that no longer exist, abandoned
downloads, and Steam client caches. Each fix scans first, shows what it found, and
changes nothing until the user selects it.

## Licensing

There is one build. It runs free with a limit of 5 items per clean; entering a licence
key lifts the limit. There is no separate paid installer and nothing to reinstall.
Personal licences cover use by an individual. Any use by or on behalf of a company or
other legal entity requires a business licence, sold per seat.

Purchasing is not open yet — the app is not on sale at the moment.
Prices are published on the pricing page.
The business tier is not on sale self-service; it is arranged through support.
